Star Serpent

"srsly"

submission: Star Serpent

I just quit the game at what must have been the 10 minute mark on Level B because it just kept going on forever. I was killing enemies with such ease that I was in no danger whatsoever but there was no end to them. Shorten the levels by at least half and submit V2.0 and I will play it again. Until then, screw this game.

The game was designed well with regards to powerups and enemies and everything but the levels are just way too long. The game would easily have a 4.00+ score if not for the length. Neither you or your testers noticed how horribly long this was? Honestly...

Doomland 2154

"Boss"

submission: Doomland 2154
date: January 31, 2007

You needed at least one boss at the end of the game. I really liked the play style since Time Crisis is among my favorite games ever but you didn't really do anything that set it apart. All the enemies were the same except for a few rocket launchers. Use multiple enemy types with different weapons and have bosses and the game would be something special. Instead it's just good.

The only bug I noticed was when I had to kill 16/15 enemies on one level. I think it was in mission 3 somewhere.

Super Mario Hardcore

"Come on man..."

date: December 10, 2006

This appears to be a great game but it is horribly glitched. The first time I played it my game crashed halfway through level 2. The second time I played it the minigun simply will not stop shooting, even if I switch weapons and get to the next level. This game might be good or whatever but I'm never going to play it again to find out. Maybe a sixth month should have been spent getting rid of the bugs. Good music and weapons and everything though.

Linion RPG

"Lots of potential here..."

submission: Linion RPG
date: November 22, 2006

But after my 40th random encounter in the underground caves I decided I did not need to play this game anymore. You really need to lessen the rate at which that happens. It is stupid for me to have to fight the same 2 enemies in random battles 3 times per room when the rooms are that small. Every 5 steps is a random battle.

Also, why can't I use WASD to control my character's direction instead of arrow keys? No excuse for that...

The print on the screen was too small and hard to read for certain characteristics, such as how much money I had. When I tried to buy items from certain vendors the weapon/armor values wouldn't appear so I didn't know if what I was buying would be an upgrade or not.

Fix all of the stuff mentioned above and many other things I've read about in other reviews from people who somehow managed to fight their way thru that cave without getting bored and you will have a nice game on your hands.

This is the best RPG on Newgrounds except for all these bugs and poorly thought out designs.

Congratulations on Turd of the Week for this movie. This is only slightly less terrible than your previous effort "Bruce Willis is on Fire."

A Tale of Horny Horror

"God I love your movies"

date: October 23, 2006

This was great. I love the slow buildup to the guy totally losing his mind. I will never look at those commercials the same way again. I'm going to see their blurred out tits and think "famine" and "plague" and laugh. Your voice is as good as David Firth's for these strange demented movies. Great job.

Gravity Pinball Challenge

"Yay, I won a cookie"

date: October 12, 2006

Well, it was decent/good but I've seen better games of this exact same type...I think it's called Ball Revamped. It should have a counter to show how many attempts it took you, a password system, and a pause button. Also, the ball is fairly unresponsive but this actually made the game a little easier because you don't have to worry about the ball going sideways too fast.

Hustler

"Gets boring quick"

submission: Hustler
date: October 6, 2006

Maybe it's because I picked the 90 day version but the beat-em-up aspect of the game got old really quick. It would have been better if there was less fighting. It gets annoying when I have to fight just about every time I land in a city, especially when the fights are as easy as they were. The buying and selling aspect of the game was pretty good. I don't know if there was a bug or what but I couldn't buy the phones no matter how much money I had. It always said they were back-ordered. Everything else was pretty good.

You may wish to clear your cache and reload the game. It's been updated since before the 6th to fix a lot of things you're complaining about. Thanks for the review!

Rescue Mission 1

"WASD"

submission: Rescue Mission 1
date: October 6, 2006

When I have to use the mouse to shoot I would much rather use WASD than the arrow keys. At least make it an option to use both. Also, saving the hostages grew boring and repetitive after the first 2 levels because you put them in stupid areas in level 3-4. It was annoying having to randomly drop down somewhere to find them. If I missed them I had to climb all the way back up to try again.
